To support some fire engineered solutions, The Fire Surgery applies several modelling techniques.
· Zone Modelling and Computational Fluid Dynamics is used to demonstrate smoke behaviour and tenable conditions in a space.
· Finite Element Analysis for Structural Fire Engineering is used to understand the impact of a fire on the structure of a building.
· Radiation Modelling is carried out to assess radiation levels on an escape route or on a site boundary and reduce levels of protection to the external wall for external fire spread purposes.
· Evacuation modelling is used in a complex building to understand evacuation times and pinch points on escape routes.
