We have built a team of experienced, highly skilled and motivated people and we actively encourage and support all of our staff to progress with FIA membership and achieve ‘Chartered’ Engineering status with the Fire Institution of Fire Engineers. We believe that this is a key differentiator between us and other Fire Engineers.

The Fire Surgery has a welcoming and supportive culture that allows open dialogue and we actively support diversity and inclusion in engineering by sponsoring and participating in related events. We encourage our staff to volunteer their time to support these initiatives and have developed a culture where this is instilled in our day-to-day activities. We actively promote new talent in engineering and have participated in an internship programme to support early career engineering events and STEM outreach.

We implement a ‘results only working environment' so you won’t catch us following a 9-5 office day either as we encourage our staff to tailor their work to their personal situation. In addition, we actively contribute to the wider fire safety engineering community through participation on national standards and industry best practice committees (including fire engineering related British Standards, the Smoke Control Association, Institution of Fire Engineers Special Interest Groups, and CIBSE Guide E).
