The Fire Surgery were appointed by Adur & Worthing Councils to provide a new comprehensive fire strategy for this 300m long, Victorian pleasure pier.

There have been a number of significant and high-profile fire incidents involving piers in recent times, and implementing modern standards fire safety can be challenging for these structures. Working closely with relevant stakeholders, the Fire Surgery has delivered a bespoke fire strategy that considers life safety, firefighting access/ facilities, and property protection matters.

We continue to support Adur & Worthing Councils with implementing the recommendations of the fire strategy and operational fire safety management at the pier.
